Lazio chief Claudio Lotito has revealed that the club were bombarded with summer offers for Sergio Floccari and Tommaso Rocchi.
“There were at least six clubs who made offers for them during the window,” the capital President told 7 Gold.
“But we didn’t want to sell Floccari and Rocchi made it clear that he didn’t want to leave.”
The latter has been with the capital club since 2004, but he’s not assured of first team football at the Stadio Olimpico.
“We respect Rocchi, but he only has one role now,” Lotito explained. “He’s a bit like what Alessandro Del Piero was to Juventus last season.
“But he is part of the changing room and we already have an agreement with him that he will work for the club once he ends his playing career.”
