Torino have revealed that city rivals Juventus have shown an interest in Angelo Ogbonna – but transfer talks never started.
However, speaking with Sky Sport Italia this afternoon, Granata chief Urbano Cairo insists the idea of a sale was never pondered.
“I knew that Juventus liked Ogbonna and they have made some concrete enquiries,” he said. “But we have always refused to elaborate on their interest.”
Ogbonna, 24, is a product of Torino’s youth academy and will start for Italy in tonight’s World Cup qualifier against Malta.
