Palermo are united in support of Coach Giuseppe Sannino despite their disastrous start to the campaign, according to Fabrizio Miccoli.
The Rosanero have lost both of their opening fixtures 3-0, at home to Napoli and away to Lazio, piling the pressure on Sannino, who arrived from Siena just a few months ago.
But club captain Miccoli remains confident in the new tactician's ability to turn the Sicilians around.
“It is not a good start to the season with zero points from two games,” the Pocket striker confessed to Sky Sport Italia.
“But we're lucky, we have a Coach like Sannino who relies heavily on field work. We are all with him and we will get out of this situation very soon.
“Now the market is closed, we will achieve significant results,” the former Juventus forward concluded.
Meanwhile, former Lazio boss Gigi Simoni has revealed that the current incumbent of the Aquile hotseat – Vladimir Petkovic – was coveted by Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini.
“I know that Zamparini doted on Petkovic, he always spoke very well of him,” Simoni said on Lazio style Radio. “I think after Sunday's game, he will appreciate him even more...”
