Atalanta director general Pierpaolo Marino is expecting a tough test at Milan on Saturday despite the Rossoneri’s loss of star players.
The Diavolo waved goodbye to a host of veteran figures in the summer, then they opted to sacrifice Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Paris Saint-Germain.
Milan have had their problems since, but Marino suggested that the San Siro giants are still favourites this weekend if he had to place a football bet [12].
“We’ll find the same old Milan,” Marino stated. “It is a game that has never turned out to be simple.
“The Rossoneri are a side that must always be feared. They showed in the win at Bologna that they are a team who know what they want.”
In Week 1 of the new season, Milan lost 1-0 at home to newly promoted Sampdoria – before striking back with a win at Bologna.
Atalanta lost 1-0 at home to Lazio and then drew 1-1 at Cagliari in their first two matches of the campaign.
