Edy Reja and Gian Piero Gasperini are thought to be options if Palermo pull the plug on Giuseppe Sannino.
The Sicilians have started the season with one point from three games, in which they scored only once.
President Maurizio Zamparini has so far defended his Coach, but changed tack when asked last night after a 1-1 draw with Cagliari if Sannino was at risk.
“I’d rather get drunk than answer that question,” was his response.
There are already lists of potential replacements on the Stadio Barbera bench should the ex-Siena boss get the sack.
Reja is out of work after resigning from Lazio, having taken them to fourth place last season.
Another alternative is Gasperini, who was sacked by Inter just three rounds into the 2011-12 campaign.
