Brazilian outfit Santos have confirmed that they plan to make a swoop for Milan forward Robinho.
“It’s true, we are interested in Robinho,” Vice-President Odilio Santo Rodrigues stated. “We have already spoken with the player.
“There is a wish to do something during the transfer window at the end of the year, but nobody knows how much Milan will ask for him.
“Robinho called us a few days ago and we are often in contact, but he is a professional and has a contract in Italy.
“Let us see what happens at the end of the year.”
The 28-year-old started his career with Santos and they later netted him on loan during 2010 while he was at Manchester City.
The forward moved to the Diavolo in August 2010 for around €18m. He signed a four-year deal with the Rossoneri.
