The Milan squad still have great faith in under-pressure boss Massimiliano Allegri, says Christian Abbiati.
The tactician won a vote of confidence from his club after another loss on Sunday afternoon and now the goalkeeper has backed the tactician.
“The Coach has been with us for two years and he’s won a title, the Italian Super Cup and last year we almost won the title,” Abbiati stated. “The players hold him in high esteem.”
The Diavolo have won just once in five games this season – drawing one and losing three to Sampdoria, Atalanta and now Udinese.
“Unfortunately, this negative run continues,” Abbiati said after the 2-1 reverse in Udine at the weekend.
“It’s a shame because we showed some good things even at 1-1 with 10 players on the pitch, but the second sending off really cut our legs off.
“We played a good first half and the goal from Stephan El Shaarawy was a great shot from distance. The positive thing to see is that we’re playing our games.”
