Lazio are keen to tighten their grip on Brazilian international midfielder Hernanes, according to the Messaggero.
The former Sao Paulo player has caught the attention of a number of clubs across Europe, with reports suggesting that Tottenham failed to land him during the summer.
And given his excellent form under Vladimir Petkovic this term, the Stadio Olimpico outfit are ready to renew his deal.
It is being claimed that the player will be offered new terms which would see his salary rise from €1.8m a season to €2.5m.
A rescission clause could also be inserted which would force clubs to pay a minimum of €50m to sign him.
Hernanes’ current agreement expires in 2015.
