Former Inter director Gabriele Oriali has commented on the club's shock 2-0 loss to Siena yesterday.
The 59-year-old, formerly in charge of transfers at Inter, was at a loss to explain the result, but believes Andrea Stramaccioni has the ability to turn things around.
“I did not expect this defeat to be honest,” Oriali told Premium Calcio. “I thought there was every reason Inter would win, but I must say Siena deserved the victory.
“Inter played a good game up to a certain point, but didn't take their chances. Hopefully Stramaccioni will be able to find a solution quickly. We are playing against Chievo on Wednesday, so the time for recovery is very short.”
Brazilian defender Juan Jesus also had his say on the defeat.
“I do not like losing,” he told reporters at the club's flagship store in Milan. “But we are always working to improve. We are now focusing fully on the next game at Chievo, and hope to get better.
“I am happy with how I am playing, but I want to do more. Nobody likes to lose and we were all sad. When you lose like that, everyone is to blame.”
The former Internacional man also commented on his blossoming relationship with fellow centre-back Andrea Ranocchia.
“We get on very well. He is a great defender, as well as being a great friend.”
