Parma striker Amauri says he is glad to be back from injury, but wants more playing time.
The 32-year-old came on with half an hour of the 1-1 draw with Fiorentina on Saturday remaining, and now wants to focus on becoming a regular fixture in Roberto Donadoni's team.
“I am glad to be back playing after a month,” the former Italian international stated at a press conference.
“But I am also pleased that Parma played a good game against a team that have had positive results and that are playing well.
“I am back fit, and I hope to stay that way for the rest of the season. I was working well and it's a pity that I had to pull out for a while with a small, annoying problem.
“Although I haven't played over the past three weeks I was able to work well in training and return to the field in a positive frame of mind.
The Juventus flop is keen to feature from the start when the Gialloblu visit Genoa on Wednesday night.
“I played a good 30 minutes, but for me, 30 minutes is not enough,” he continued. “I want to continue with my progress and help the team.
“A start against Genoa? I hope so, but it depends on the decision of the Coach. Genoa are a team who like to play, just like us, and I think it will be a great game.”
