Palermo attacking midfielder Josip Ilicic has given an insight into Lazio's Europa League opponents Maribor tonight.
The Biancocelesti face the Slovenian champions at the Stadio Olimpico this evening, and the 24-year-old playmaker, who spent a season at the Vijolicasti back in 2010, has been quick to offer a perception as to what Vladimir Petkovic and his team can expect.
“Maribor has all the means to get a result,” he told the Slovenian Press today. “They played a great game against Panathinaikos [winning 3-0 on matchday one], and that serves them well.
“They will face one of the best teams in the League [in Lazio], and you can always count on good technical preparation from Vladimir Petkovic.
“Palermo played Lazio at Olimpico, and they were brilliant at punishing our own mistakes.”
The capital club face off against Darko Milanic's side at 18.00 BST.
