Mauro Zarate’s rapport with Lazio has become extremely tense again, as he is dropped for the trip to Pescara.
The striker had moved to Inter last season on loan following a row with Coach Edy Reja and claimed he was much happier under Vladimir Petkovic.
However, the Argentine has not been included in the Biancocelesti squad travelling to Pescara on Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Zarate was in training regularly and has no fitness problems, so it was a technical decision by Petkovic or a disciplinary measure.
After news emerged he had been dropped, director of sport Igli Tare and Zarate’s agent Luis Ruzzi arrived at the Formello training ground for a 20-minute meeting. They both left without speaking to the media.
Zarate posted a picture of his Lazio jersey on Twitter, but without adding any text to it.
