Ivo Pulga prepares for his debut on the Cagliari bench with co-Coach Diego Lopez against Torino and has pledged “no catenaccio.”
The duo was brought in this week after Massimo Ficcadenti was sacked and they make their first appearance on the bench against Toro this afternoon.
“We will go there to play with an open mind, at the Olimpico as well as anywhere else. There will be no catenaccio,” declared Pulga.
“The key to getting out of this situation is to have fun on the field the same way we do in training. This is why we tried to prepare the game against Torino above all on a psychological level.
“It is unlikely we will see a big change in tactics. Torino are an excellent side with one of the best Coaches in Serie A, Giampiero Ventura.
“We must do well not to allow them space, as keeping the ball is one of their prerogatives. Rolando Bianchi is a Torino legend, while Alessio Cerci can make the difference if he is having a good day.”
