Alberto Zaccheroni has been on both benches, so gives his predictions for tonight’s Milan-Inter showdown.
The current Coach of Japan won the Scudetto with the Rossoneri in his spell from 1998-2001 and failed to repeat that success on the other side of San Siro in 2003-04.
“I am tied to both clubs, so will enjoy it tonight more as a sportsman than a fan,” Zac told Sky Sport Italia.
“We have seen Massimiliano Allegri more than Andrea Stramaccioni, as this is the Inter man’s first full season. This is perhaps why I am more curious about Stramaccioni.
“Inter have done well in recent years at finding more young talent than Milan, who mainly focused on confirmed champions.
“For now Milan and Inter have very balanced squads, so it may well be down to the Coaches in this game.
“My prediction is that it will end 1-1 tonight.”
Zaccheroni has been the Coach of Japan since August 2010, winning the 2011 Asian Cup.
“For the moment I am happy where I am, but in future if I still have the motivation, then a return to Italian football would be very welcome.”
