Italian giants Juventus have paid tribute to German legend Helmut Haller who has died at the age of 73.
“Juventus Football Club is saddened to learn of the death of Helmut Haller,” a note on their website stated.
“The German midfielder, who wore the black and white stripes for five years between 1968 and 1973, lifted the Scudetto twice during his time in Turin.
“All associated with Juventus wish to send their condolences to the Haller family.”
Haller, who scored for West Germany in the 1966 World Cup Final, moved to the Old Lady after six seasons with Bologna.
He won three Scudetti in total after helping the Rossoblu triumph in 1964.
