Federico Balzaretti could be set for a spell on the sidelines after he limped out of Roma training on Wednesday.

Federico Balzaretti could be set for a spell on the sidelines after he limped out of Roma training on Wednesday.

The €4.5m summer signing from Palermo picked up a problem to his right thigh during this morning’s session at Trigoria.

The Italian international, according to Sky Sport Italia, will have a scan on the injury at some stage on Friday.

Roma entertain Udinese in Serie A this weekend.
