Facundo Roncaglia has played down suggestions that he is destined to join an Italian giant. “I’m happy at Fiorentina.”
The 25-year-old joined the Viola in the summer from Boca Juniors and he has been a revelation in Serie A.
“At this moment in time I am thinking only about Fiorentina,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “I just want to give my best for this club.
“Then, with time, we’ll look at the possible scenarios. But, right now, I want to underline that I am only focusing on the Viola.”
Roncaglia is an imposing defender who has won comparisons with former Fiorentina and Argentine stopper Daniel Passarella.
“I like that comparison a lot,” added the man with one goal in eight League appearances this term. “I never saw him play, but I know that he was a great player.”
