Urby Emanuelson is confident that Milan can defeat Malaga when the two teams meet at San Siro in the Champions League.
The Rossoneri were beaten 1-0 in Spain on Wednesday, but the Dutch international is remaining upbeat ahead of the return fixture despite his club’s struggles.
“The next match will be important and I think we will be able to beat the Spanish,” the midfielder noted.
The Diavolo have now lost their last three games, but Emanuelson insists that fortune has also deserted them.
“We had some opportunities to score, but we are going through a difficult time right now and we are lacking a little bit of luck,” he argued.
“We know that in difficult times you have to fight for everything. That's what we did – we played as a team, fought for every ball.
“There is some satisfaction, though, in having caused Malaga some problems. Also, if you look at the game, I don't think we deserved to lose…”
