The Italian Referees’ Association – the AIA – have quickly dismissed suggestions that assistant referee Luca Maggiani has a Facebook page.
The claim was made by Catania chief Antonino Pulvirenti this morning [12] who suggested that the official – who was responsible for the annulment of Catania’s valid goal in the 1-0 loss at Juventus – used it to illustrate a leaning towards the Bianconeri.
The AIA though has insisted that the Facebook page in question – which is actually a fan page and not a profile one – does not belong to Maggiani.
