Milan’s Ignazio Abate doesn’t think that Palermo should have been awarded the penalty which he gave away on Tuesday night.
The referee pointed to the spot after the ball hit the defender’s hand in the box and Fabrizio Miccoli subsequently gave his side the lead.
“The penalty was dubious,” Abate stated. “It hit my hand, but there was no movement of my arm towards the ball.
“I think it was a bit generous.”
The Diavolo went two goals down in Sicily, but they were able to hit back and salvage a 2-2 draw against the Rosanero.
“At the end of the first half we looked each other in the eyes and we weren’t playing as we know we can,” he added.
“We have to play with intensity as we don’t have quality in the middle and we have to overcome that.
“We’re all on the same page though, we have to continue as we’re doing and now we have Chievo.”
