Zdenek Zeman’s tactics and the quality of the Roma defenders do not mix, says former Giallorossi idol Aldair.
The capital club are joint top scorers in the Division, along with Juventus, thanks to their 22 goals. However, they have the worst defensive record in the top flight having conceded 19.
“It’s a problem to do with Zeman’s tactics and the defenders he has available,” the former Brazilian centre-back, who played under Zeman in the 1990s, told Palermo 24.
“Zeman’s football philosophy is characterised by defensive issues because he always plays with such a high line.
“By playing in such a way, you are always going to concede a lot of goals.
“But the defenders he has at his disposal have their faults, because they are youngsters who are experiencing a difficult championship like the Italian one for the first time.”
Roma meet Palermo this weekend.
