Siena are going to be without Massimo Paci for the next three weeks after he suffered a thigh strain.
The experienced defender was supposed to start Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Parma, but was injured in the warm-up.
Tests now show that was a serious setback, as he will be out for three weeks due to a lesion to the left thigh muscle.
It is a blow for their chances of staying in Serie A, as Siena are bottom of the table and hampered by a six-point penalty.
