There are reports that Fiorentina’s Argentine defender Facundo Roncaglia could receive a call-up from Italy boss Cesare Prandelli.
The 25-year-old has already stated he would be willing to play for the Azzurri, as his family originates from the Campania region and he holds an Italian passport.
Roncaglia has quickly become a fan favourite in Florence due to his rugged playing style and determination.
Sky Sport Italia claim Prandelli is giving serious thought to calling up Roncaglia for the next international match.
He was not included in the squad for tonight’s friendly against France.
