Palermo “have a deal for Carlos Labrin,” revealed President Maurizio Zamparini, but the Chilean talent can only play from next season.
The 20-year-old defender is preparing the move from Huachipito to join his fellow countryman Mauricio Pinilla in Sicily.
“We have reached a deal for Labrin,” Zamparini told Sky Sport Italia.
“The player is already in Palermo for his medical, but cannot start working with the squad immediately, as he is a non-EU player.
“Therefore he will begin playing for the Rosanero from June.”
This term Serie A set very strict limits on the number of non-EU players who could be brought in during a campaign.
