Struggling Serie B outfit Reggina have dumped Chievo Verona out of the Coppa Italia with a 1-0 win at the Bentegodi.
A 60th minute goal from defender Fabio Lucioni proved to be the difference on a wet afternoon which made playing conditions difficult.
Lucioni made a telling contribution in the first half too when his block from Samassa kept the scores level.
The same player then almost levelled things up with a crazy own goal in minute 81, but his blushes were saved by the crossbar.
Reggina will be rewarded for their efforts with a tie against Milan in the last 16.
