Alessandro Del Piero is hoping the appointment of Frank Farina will rejuvenate the fortunes of Sydney FC.
The Juventus idol joined the Australian outfit in the summer, but results have been poor and his side are bottom of the table.
Sydney take on Melbourne Heart on Sunday and the World Cup winner hopes this week’s arrival of boss Farina can make the difference.
“We hope he will help,” the veteran noted. “It’s a short time for him to work with us, but we have the rest of the season to work together and beat the opposition.
“Six losses in eight games is not right for us and on Sunday we have to put on the field all of our heart, all of our energy, passion and pride and try to win and play a good game.
“We just have to take things one game at a time now.”
