Atalanta’s Guido Marilungo insists he’ll be back after rupturing the same knee ligaments for the second time in a year.
The former Italian Under-21 international had only recently returned to action before picking up a fresh injury in this week’s 3-1 Coppa Italia win over Cesena.
“I thank everyone, absolutely everyone for the great affection that I have received,” he told the Eco di Bergamo.
“I especially want to thank President Percassi and his family for the way they have made me feel like an Atalantino.
“I’ll now work hard to get back in shape. I’m a determined guy and I won’t give up. I’ll wear the Nerazzurri shirt again and, if possible, with even more determination than before.”
The 23-year-old, formerly of Sampdoria and Lecce, is facing another six months on the sidelines.
