Serie A side Cagliari have insisted that they won’t sell goal-shy striker Mauricio Pinilla.
The Chilean, formerly of Grosseto and Palermo, has been linked with a January move once the transfer window opens.
“The Chilean will not leave Cagliari,” President Massimo Cellino noted. “Not even if we were offered €30m. The player is not leaving here.
“We rejected important offers for Davide Astori and Radja Nainggolan in the summer, so we won’t be letting an important player like Pinilla leave at this point of the season.”
The injury affected Pinilla, eight goals in 14 games last season, has netted just once in eight Serie A matches so far this term.
“Even though he’s not playing, his moment will arrive.”
The South American has been linked with Fiorentina and Inter.
