Marko Livaja is hoping that his two goals in the Europa League on Thursday will help convince Inter that he could be a viable alternative to Diego Milito.
The Nerazzurri are thought to be looking for a vice-Milito in the January transfer market, but the 19-year-old is catching the eye in Europe.
“I can only hope that I could be the vice-Milito, but I'm ready to play whatever position Stramaccioni wants me to,” the youngster noted after scoring twice against Neftci.
“He gives me confidence and I'm very grateful for that. It's an honour to play with these great players that are at Inter and I always try to give 100 per cent.
“It's a dream to play for a great team like this one.”
The Primavera player has scored four goals in the Europa League this season, but he’s only been given 38 minutes of action across four substitute appearances in Serie A.
