Lazio defender Stefan Radu revealed his delight at scoring his first goal for the club against Maribor yesterday.
The Romanian international scored the second in a 4-1 win in Slovenia, and has admitted it was a long time coming.
“I have waited five years to score a goal for Lazio,” he told uefa.com. “It doesn't matter who it is against, it's just important that we won and topped a tough group.
“And it's a nice gift for my new wife, as we're getting married on Friday.
“We still have a lot of important games to play – the first against Bologna on Monday that we absolutely have to win.
“We want to continue to fight on all fronts – in the League, the Coppa Italia and Europa League.”
