Pescara have confirmed they are interested in bringing back Ciro Immobile from Genoa in January.
The Under-21 international striker was a hero at the Stadio Adriatico last season, helping the Delfini to promotion with 28 Serie B goals in 37 games.
He returned to co-parent club Genoa in the summer – Juventus own the other half of his contarct – but has struggled for playing time under Gigi Del Neri.
“I proposed his name to the club and the Coach, receiving positive feedback,” revealed director of sport Daniele Delli Carri.
“The transfer window isn’t open yet, so it is too early to talk about proper negotiations.
“We are interested in bringing back Immobile, but the fact that Genoa and Pescara are rivals in the fight against relegation probably doesn’t make it any easier.”
Immobile reportedly has offers from the likes of Napoli and Palermo, as well as Pescara.
“If Napoli joined the fray, then we’d really have a tough time of it. I think if it was a choice between us and Palermo, then Ciro would lean towards Pescara.”
