The agent of Andreas Granqvist says he would be shocked if the club decided to sell the stopper in January.
“I honestly know nothing about a possible transfer,” representative Andrea Canovi told calciomercato.it. “I would be surprised because he is a player of great value.
“Granqvist is a Swedish international who could be important for the club to climb back up the table.
“Genoa have never talked to me about a possible sale and I don’t think they want to send him away.
“However, it is only normal that other clubs could like him because there are few defenders like him around – and those that are cost a lot.”
The 27-year-old, who joined the club from Groningen in the summer of 2011, has played in 16 League games so far this season for the relegation threatened outfit.
