Sampdoria insist that no club has made them an offer for Pedro Obiang – but they suspect Juventus and Napoli are keen.
The 20-year-old, a Spanish youth international, is a promising midfielder who is being linked with a host of bigger Italian sides.
“The boy is being followed on a weekly basis by a lot of scouts,” sporting director Pasquale Sensibile told calciomercato.it. “He’s a really interesting young player with potential.
“Nobody from Juventus have asked us for information, but I think they like him as Giuseppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici were responsible for bringing him to Italy in the first place.
“I’m in frequent contact with Napoli’s Riccardo Bigon. He’s expressed a liking for the player, but there has been no real negotiation.
“Up to now, no club has come forward with an offer.
“We want to stay up and we have no intention of selling our best players, but if someone sent us a fax that made us faint…”
