Francesco Guidolin prepares to welcome his former club Palermo this afternoon and warns Udinese they “need hunger.”
The Coach had several different stints in Sicily under fiery President Maurizio Zamparini.
“I was happy in Palermo, both on and off the field. The Rosanero have always done well and Zamparini deserves enormous credit for that,” said Guidolin in his Press conference.
“I think despite the defeats that Palermo had strong performances against Inter and Juventus, so we must be very careful and concentrated.”
Mehdi Benatia and Willian are both ruled out of today’s game, which kicks off at 17.00 GMT. Click here for a match preview.
“Undoubtedly we are doing better than a few days ago in terms of the injury crisis. I tried to motivate the players and in order to survive relegation you need hunger.
“Will Roberto Pereyra play behind Antonio Di Natale? We’ll see. I don’t like to make outlandish statements, but I think Luis Muriel will be back very soon. He is in good shape and really wants to make a comeback, having worked so hard during this long absence.”
Muriel was ruled out for three months due to a microfracture in his hip.
Udinese squad for Palermo: Brkic, Padelli, Pawlowski; Angella, Armero, Basta, Coda, Danilo, Domizzi, Gabriel Silva, Heurtaux, Pasquale; Allan, Badu, Faraoni, Lazzari, Pereyra, Pinzi; Barreto, Fabbrini, Di Natale, Maicosuel, Muriel, Ranegie
