Josip Ilicic has turned down a lucrative offer from Dynamo Kiev in order to stay with current club Palermo.
Reports this morning suggested that the Palermo man was wanted by the Ukrainian outfit ahead of the January transfer window opening.
“It’s all true,” agent Amir Ruznic stated to Calciomercato. “Dynamo made him an offer that would be difficult for any player to refuse.
“But Josip has said no because he wants to stay at Palermo and help steer the Rosanero ship into calmer waters.
“The player’s desire is to stay in Sicily and in Italy in the future should the day arrive when President Maurizio Zamparini decides to sell him.
“My client has a strong bond with the Rosanero fans and he doesn’t want to betray them for money.”
