Modibo Diakite is making his seasonal debut for Lazio in this afternoon’s Coppa Italia tie against Siena.
The stopper has been named in the starting line-up of the Italian Cup last 16 encounter at the Stadio Olimpico.
The defender, 25, had yet to be used by boss Vladimir Petkovic this term following a contract row.
Diakite is only tied to the club until June 2013 and talks over a renewal had stalled given the difference between his demands and Lazio’s offer.
The Frenchman has been linked with a January move to Genoa.
