There are reports Marco Borriello is dropped for today’s 11.30am GMT clash with Inter after a row with Genoa director Rino Foschi.
The striker was expected to be in the starting XI for the lunch-time kick-off at San Siro.
Several newspapers claim that Borriello did not turn up to training yesterday afternoon and Genoa have pointedly not named their full squad for the match.
It is suggested he had a blazing row with director of sport Foschi before the training session and stormed off.
Genoa have already signed up Antonio Floro Flores and Francelino Matuzalem for the January transfer window.
The side is in crisis after 10 defeats in 17 games.
