Gigi Buffon waves goodbye to “a wonderful 2012,” but cannot call who will be the main challengers to Juventus next year.
The Bianconeri won the Scudetto and Italian Super Cup, reached the Coppa Italia Final and the Champions League knockouts while setting a new all-time Serie A record of 94 points in the calendar year. Meanwhile, Buffon also reached the Euro 2012 Final with Italy.
“It has been a wonderful 2012 in so many respects,” the goalkeeper told Sky Sport Italia.
“I am working on many challenges, both sporting and in business, so I hope that with dedication, ideas and humility I can achieve my targets.”
Lazio have now moved into second place with Inter and Fiorentina joint third, followed by Napoli, Roma and Milan. So who is the ‘anti-Juventus’?
“There are so many options, I really don’t know who to choose.”
