Napoli will sign Groningen striker Tim Matavz in June, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Initially it had looked as though the 22-year-old would arrive on deadline day.
However, a few details weren't sorted out in time and the deal has been postponed.
It's thought that a transfer worth €7m will eventually go through at the end of the season.
Matavz is among the top scorers in Holland this season with 12 goals to his name.
The signing of Catania striker Giuseppe Mascara doesn't appear to have diminished Napoli's interest in the Slovenia international.
Matavz's agent Nusret Jashari said: "The deal was protracted and it was difficult bureaucratically to define a loan [in January]. But Tim will arrive in June. There is an agreement between the two parties.
"Obviously he is happy. He wanted Napoli. He likes the stadium, the fans and the passion. When it's possible, he'll go and see a game."
