Napoli forward Edinson Cavani has expressed his gratitude towards Napoli and believes that the team still have a lot of room for improvement.
The Uruguay international was official the most potent striker in Serie A in 2012 with 43 goals, and has thanked the Partneopei for their part in his development.
“I am grateful to the city and to the team,” he told Diario Cambio Digital. “It is important to feel the affection of the fans and it drives me to give my best.
“I cannot wait to play another season with Napoli.
“The other day the President called me to say congratulations – this gesture gave me peace of mind and at the same time the right boost to continue playing here.
“We are a team in development even though we are always near the top. The squad is a fierce one that never gives up. It is not easy to be where we are in the League and the Europa League.”
