Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia has been given a two-game ban after aiming a 'provocative phrase' at a fourth official.
The incident relates to an altercation during the match against Genoa on December 22 where the 24-year-old confronted the official in the dressing room after the game.
Pending an appeal, the Italy international is set to miss the trip to Udinese on January 6 and the home game against Pescara six days later. He had already been booked and would've been suspended for one game anyway.
This is the second time in two weeks that a Nerazzurri players has been banned for misconduct towards a match official, following Fredy Guarin's ban earlier this month .
