Juventus are reportedly on the verge of agreeing a move for Atalanta defender Federico Peluso worth €5m.
The negotiations have been going for several weeks and it is now believed the transfer will be made official in the New Year.
According to several different Italian news sources, Juve have agreed to pay €1m up front for a six-month loan and another €4m at the end of the season to make the move permanent.
Juventus need a new defender, as Giorgio Chiellini has been ruled out for three months with injury and Lucio has rescinded his contract to join Sao Paulo.
