Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini has conceded that his team 'could not play in that atmosphere' as they were subjected to racial abuse.
The Rossoneri walked off midway through a friendly match with Pro Patria this afternoon after Kevin-Prince Boateng was jeered by supporters.
“We came here to many people could come and see us play,” he told reporters. “We were committed to playing a good game.
“But we have made a signal against these ugly episodes – we could not continue to play in that atmosphere.
“We must put an end to these events. We are sorry to the public, because it has nothing to do with the majority of fans.”
