Corinthians and Milan have confirmed Alexandre Pato’s €15m transfer is just a matter of time. “The decisive meeting will be today or tomorrow.”
The striker has made it clear for some time that he wants a return to Brazil and has chosen Corinthians as his destination.
“The decisive meeting with Adriano Galliani will be this afternoon or tomorrow morning,” Corinthians director of sport Duilio Monteiro Alves told Globoesporte.
“The situation is heading towards its definitive conclusion.”
Milan President Silvio Berlusconi also acted as if the deal had already been done when talking to Radio Kiss Kiss today.
“Unfortunately Pato has declared he wants to go to Brazil, with the promise he’ll return to Milan in two or three years.
“We are therefore trying to sell him to Corinthians, the most prestigious club in South America.”
