Italian international Mario Balotelli still has a future at Manchester City, says boss Roberto Mancini.
The two men had a training ground scuffle on Thursday after a bad tackle from Balotelli on teammate Scott Sinclair.
“His future? This does not change anything,” Mancini stated on Friday. “This is a thing that can happen. It usually happens between two players.”
The clash between the two men was captured by photographers, but the former Lazio and Inter tactician has played down the altercation.
“It wasn't a bad thing like the newspapers say,” Mancio insisted. “Mario kicked his team-mate and I told him to leave the pitch. He said no. That was it.
“It is nothing special, there was no fight. The pictures do not show what happened. I took him by the shirt and pushed him away. Nothing special. It wasn’t as bad as it looked.
“I was angry for two seconds, but not after three seconds. For me he should have left the pitch. He did what he should not have done.”
Pictures of the Mancini-Balotelli bust-up can be seen in the video below.
