Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna hopes to return sooner than expected following a hernia operation.
The 24-year-old has been out since early December after going under the knife, but he has claimed that his recuperation is going better than was first thought and may be playing as early as February.
“I hope to be back playing sooner than was expected,” he told the club's official website.
“I'm working well in the gym and I hope to be back to help my teammates achieve our goals for this season, which everyone knows is to stay in the League.”
Ogbonna has been integral to Il Toro this season playing 11 games so far.
