Fiorentina are targeting a top-three finish in Serie A this season, says veteran striker Luca Toni.
The Viola, who have been a revelation this term, are currently joint-fourth – just two points behind third-placed Napoli.
“Qualifying for the Champions League is possible,” the summer signing commented. “However, it will be tough.
“We will need to fight until the very end and it will be a battle. There will be highs and lows, but we’ll look to do it.”
Just nine points separate second-placed Lazio and seventh-placed Milan.
Toni returned to the outfit on transfer deadline day when he put pen to paper on a one-year deal.
“We’ll talk about a possible renewal in March or April,” the 2006 World Cup winner added. “I’m in no rush and I’m happy here.
“At this stage of my career money is no longer important. A renewal is not a priority for me at this stage.”
Toni, 35, has scored six goals in 15 League games this term. Only Stevan Jovetic has more than him at the club.
