Francesco Guidolin has told Udinese not to underestimate struggling Sampdoria today and insists they are not dependent on Alexis Sanchez.
The Friulani were in spectacular form, but the absence of banned Sanchez was sorely felt during their 1-1 draw with Bologna on Wednesday.
“Sanchez is a very useful figure, even if I confirm my absolute faith in the squad,” commented the Coach.
“In order to get full points against Samp, we need all the areas of the side to work at their best. Let's not forget they beat us in the Coppa Italia recently and are tough to take on.”
The Blucerchiati are at the centre of controversy after a string of disastrous defeats and fan protests due to the sale of Giampaolo Pazzini and Antonio Cassano.
“Although they are a strong side, Sampdoria need the psychological strength to react to a difficult situation.
“I know Mimmo Di Carlo, as he was one of my players at Vicenza. He has character, never gives in and is having a brilliant career.”
With the return of Sanchez, there could be a rest for Antonio Di Natale, who is on 99 goals for Udinese.
“I expect quality more than quantity from Di Natale. I usually call him to the bench whenever possible, but I think in general some players could be tired after a midweek round.”
