Ruben Olivera is on the verge of completing a move from Fiorentina to Genoa, his agent has confirmed.
“Genoa and Fiorentina will complete the deal tonight,” Moreno Roggi told PianetaGenoa1893.
“Olivera will arrive in Genoa on loan, but there will be an enforced buy-out clause inserted ahead of June.
“The player is really happy to be back in Genoa and start this new adventure.
“He’ll have his medical tomorrow morning and will be able to immediately start training after that.”
The versatile midfielder, born in 1983, has only made four League appearances for the Viola this season.
The Uruguayan was brought to Italy by Juventus in 2003. He’s also played for Sampdoria and Lecce on the peninsula. He spent the 2008-09 season on loan at Genoa.
