Inter captain Javier Zanetti has bid farewell to Wesley Sneijder after the latter’s transfer to Galatasaray was confirmed [12].
“As captain and as his friend, I wish him well,” the Argentine commented after the 1-1 draw with Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
“He proved at Inter to be a player of value, a great player.
“He’s now made this personal choice and I hope that everything goes as well as he hopes. Good luck to him.”
The 28-year-old joined the Nerazzurri in 2009 from Real Madrid and he immediately helped the club win the treble – Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Champions League.
